About Our Foundation
Shri Banashankari Eye Hospital, a Non-Profit Organization, is dedicated to providing top-notch and affordable eye care, especially to rural areas in North Karnataka.
Having evolved over the years, the organization now serves a population exceeding one crore, predominantly in the rural regions of Northern Karnataka, including Bagalkot, Gadag, Koppal, and Vijayapur.
With a commitment to community welfare, the organization has conducted over 1500 free medical camps, examined more than 15 lakhs patients, and performed over 70,000 sight-saving cataract surgeries. In addition, they have distributed free medicines and provided various eye care services to over 8 lakhs people in underserved communities, all without any cost to the patients.
The primary goal of Shri Banashankari Eye Hospital is to establish benchmarks in all facets of ophthalmic care delivery. Regular reviews of services ensure alignment with evolving demands and technology. Dr. Girish R. Masurkar firmly believes that financial constraints should never be a hindrance to maintaining good eyesight.

Conduct an expanded series of free school screening camps, diabetic retinopathy screening camps, free glaucoma screening camps, and other similar peripheral screening programs in the near future.
